Dara Dubh
Say it "da-ra doo"
Dara Dubh is an Irish alternative-folk artist whose songs sit somewhere between heartfelt confession and a good kick up the road. She's a singer-songwriter and harpist who blends the delicate with the downright fierce, taking the harp well beyond what people expect of it and into bold, contemporary spaces.
Originally from Ballycastle and now based in Edinburgh, she has taken her live show across the UK, Ireland and Italy, with a run of sold-out shows along the way. She has supported Chasing Abbey, Bricknasty and BIIRD, played Kelburn Garden Party, and was one of eight artists chosen for the Made in Scotland Showcase at this year's Edinburgh Fringe.
Her 2024 EP brought airplay on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Ulster, and Bubble Town was BBC Radio Scotland's Track of the Week. Her debut album, Go Like Crazy Big Moon, is out on 20 November.
